Kwasi Sibo signs with Libyan club Al-Swehly in $10m deal
Libyan champions Al-Swehly have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian international midfielder Kwasi Sibo. The 28-year-old joins the club as a free agent following his departure from the Spanish side Real Oviedo.
The deal is reportedly valued at approximately $10 million. Under the terms of the contract, which spans three years with an option for a fourth, Sibo is expected to earn a monthly salary of $80,000. This move follows a failed transfer attempt to the Turkish club Gençlerbirliği.
Sibo, who recently represented Ghana in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will join Al-Swehly as they prepare for their CAF Champions League campaign. The high-value transfer is understood to be part of a broader initiative supported by the Libyan government to attract established African football talent to the domestic league.
