Germany regional updates: transit changes, roadworks, and traffic incidents

Various regional updates across Germany report on changes to transportation, infrastructure, and local law enforcement.

In the Wartburgkreis, Wartburgmobil has introduced a 5-euro monthly ticket for students to increase leisure mobility. Concurrently, the Kyffhäuserkreis is experiencing traffic disruptions due to multiple construction sites, including road resurfacing in Greußen and bridge work in Rottleben. In Berlin, the Deges project company has announced a 26-hour closure at the Dreieck Funkturm for bridge construction, affecting the A100 and A115 motorways.

Law enforcement activities include mobile speed camera operations scheduled in Wolfsburg from August 17 to 23. Several traffic incidents were also reported, including a vehicle rollover near the Hohenwarte reservoir involving a 65-year-old driver, and a car landing in a cornfield between Lengede and Vallstedt. Additionally, police in Greiz responded to an incident involving an intoxicated cyclist, and multiple cases of vehicle damage were reported in the Eichsfeld region.
