Kyiv drone strike kills 14-year-old boy in residential building attack

A Russian drone strike on a residential building in Kyiv's Pecherskyi district killed a 14-year-old boy and injured seven people, according to local authorities and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The drone struck a 16-story building between the 10th and 11th floors.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported additional damage to commercial and residential buildings in the Podilskyi and Solomianskyi districts due to drone strikes and falling debris. Other strikes targeted a five-story non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

President Zelenskyy stated that eight regions across Ukraine came under attack, including Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Mykolaiv. He described the strikes as ‘savage’ and ‘devoid of any military logic,’ noting that Russia appears to be intensifying pressure on Ukrainian infrastructure as winter approaches.
