Turkey student scholarship and dormitory application updates

Students in Turkey are preparing for various scholarship and dormitory application processes for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The Credit and Dormitories General Directorate (KYK) is set to open additional dormitory applications via e-Devlet following the completion of university registration processes. These applications are intended for students who entered through additional quotas, horizontal or vertical transfers, graduate students, and those in their extended years of study. While specific dates for KYK scholarships and loans have not yet been announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, they are expected to follow the academic calendar.

Separately, the Foundations General Directorate (VGM) has announced its scholarship schedule. Applications for primary, middle, and high school students will run from October 6 to October 20, 2026. The application dates for higher education (undergraduate and associate degree) students will be determined based on the YKS and DGS additional placement processes.
