Turkey Ministry of Family and Social Services announces major support payments

Turkey’s Ministry of Family and Social Services has announced significant financial disbursements through various social support programs. Under the Family and Youth Fund, which is financed by the country’s underground resources, 18,334 young people received a total of 2.076 billion lira in September to support marriage and new households. The fund offers interest-free loans of up to 250,000 lira for couples aged 18-25 and 200,000 lira for those aged 26-29, featuring a 48-month term with a two-year grace period. Additionally, the ministry provides incentives for childbirth, including debt grants for families with one or more children.

In Erzurum, the provincial directorate reported extensive social assistance for July 2026, including 26.8 million lira in birth assistance, 30.3 million lira for special care centers, and over 85.6 million lira for home care for the disabled.

Employment and education programs are also active. İŞKUR’s Youth Program provides university students with 1,375 lira per day for campus-based work experience. Meanwhile, the ministry is implementing new policies to increase employment among social assistance recipients aged 18-55, proposing that those who repeatedly refuse valid job or training offers may face a suspension of financial aid.
