Kyle Busch Memorial Planned at Charlotte Motor Speedway

NASCAR will host a public memorial for two‑time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch on Friday, Oct. 9, at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The free event follows the Craftsman Truck Series race and comes five months after Busch, 41, died on May 21 in Charlotte from hemorrhagic shock and related complications. Busch, a Las Vegas native, held the record for most combined wins across NASCAR’s three national touring series, with 234 victories and two championships (2015, 2019).

Separate from the memorial, NASCAR Hall of Famer Kurt Busch performed a tyre‑burnout showcase at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England. Driving his No. 1 Monster Energy Chevrolet Camaro, he created a large cloud of smoke on the hill‑climb course, a highlight of his recent European tour that also included a podium finish at the HSR NASCAR Classic in France and a special appearance at Le Mans.
