Kyle Johnson Killed in Mays Landing Route 40 Crash

A 32‑year‑old man, Kyle Johnson, died early Wednesday when his 2017 Chrysler minivan left Route 40 near Hartmann Road in Mays Landing, New Jersey. The vehicle drifted off the westbound shoulder, struck a utility pole and came to rest in a wooded area. Johnson was the only occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hamilton Township police responded to a 9‑1‑1 crash alert at about 1:15 a.m. The Hamilton Township Rescue Squad, paramedics and the Mays Landing and Laureldale volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
