Kyle Kennedy, granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy, dies at 42

Kyle Kennedy, the granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy, has passed away at the age of 42. According to her family's obituary, she died peacefully on September 21 at her home in Westwood, Massachusetts.

Kennedy had been living with paralysis and other significant medical complications following a severe spinal cord injury sustained in 2020. Despite these challenges, she was recognized by her family as a dedicated mother to her two sons, Conor and Declan, and a passionate educator.

An alumna of Georgetown University with master’s degrees from Pace University and Harvard University, Kennedy worked as an educator through Teach For America. Following her injury, she became a vocal advocate for the disability community, notably testifying before Massachusetts lawmakers regarding discrimination in healthcare access for people with disabilities.
