Kyle Larson wins Knoxville Nationals after NASCAR race

NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson completed a rare motorsports double by winning the Knoxville Nationals sprint car championship just hours after competing in the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway.

Larson, driving the No. 57 sprint car, had previously secured the pole position but initially expected to miss the Knoxville finale due to scheduling conflicts with his NASCAR commitments. However, heavy rain in Iowa caused significant delays at Knoxville Raceway, creating a window for Larson to travel from Virginia to Iowa.

After finishing sixth in the NASCAR race at Richmond, Larson traveled via private jet and arrived in Knoxville under a police escort. He successfully led all 50 laps of the A-Main feature to claim his fourth Knoxville Nationals title and a $200,000 prize. The feat was made possible by a logistics plan coordinated by Hendrick Motorsports crew chief Cliff Daniels during the Richmond race.
