Kyle Shanahan confirms Jauan Jennings declined 49ers trade

San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that the team attempted to arrange a trade to reunite with wide receiver Jauan Jennings, but the player ultimately decided to remain with the Minnesota Vikings.

Shanahan noted that the 49ers and Vikings had reached an agreement on certain terms that allowed for a direct conversation with Jennings via FaceTime. During the discussion, Jennings expressed that he was happy with his current situation in Minnesota. Shanahan stated that after hearing Jennings' perspective, he agreed with the decision to let the potential move proceed no further.

Jennings has recorded six catches for 54 yards in six games with the Vikings. His decision to stay in Minnesota has kept receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on the team's practice squad.
