Kyle Shanahan reacts to Robert Saleh's comments on 49ers draft plans

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has expressed frustration following comments made by Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh regarding the 49ers' previous draft strategies. Saleh, who served as a defensive coordinator for Shanahan from 2017 to 2020, revealed that San Francisco had intended to draft running back Cam Skattebo in the 2025 NFL Draft before he was selected by the New York Giants.

In a separate context regarding divisional matchups, Shanahan is preparing to face Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur. LaFleur is another former assistant of Shanahan, having worked under him for seven seasons. This matchup highlights a trend in the NFC West, where several divisional rivals are currently utilizing offensive schemes derived from Shanahan’s coaching tree.
