Kyle Thomas updates progress on Trouble album and Exhorder label talks
Kyle Thomas, vocalist for both Trouble and Exhorder, has provided updates regarding the progress of Trouble’s upcoming studio album. Thomas reported that he has completed vocal recordings for approximately half of the expected 10 to 11 songs. He is currently recording vocals from home, working remotely with guitarists Rick Wartell and Bruce Franklin to finalize tracks.
Thomas expects to complete the remaining vocal sessions before Thanksgiving following his current tour with Exhorder. Musically, the project is nearing completion, with only guitar overdubs and solos remaining. Regarding whether this album will be the band’s final release, Thomas noted that the decision ultimately rests with band members Rick Wartell and Bruce Franklin.
Separately, Thomas confirmed that Exhorder is in advanced discussions with a major record label. Following the March 2024 release of “Defectum Omnium” via Nuclear Blast, the band is seeking a highly active partner to support their future musical output.
