Minnesota Vikings sign veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy

The Minnesota Vikings have signed veteran outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy to bolster their defensive line depth. The 35-year-old, a former Pro Bowler, arrives following a stint with the Baltimore Ravens.

Van Noy is expected to start on the Vikings' practice squad to ramp up before joining the active roster. The move reunites him with defensive coordinator Brian Flores, with whom he won two Super Bowls during their time with the New England Patriots. The signing addresses an urgent need for pass-rushing depth following a season-ending injury to Tyler Batty.

This acquisition aligns with the roster-building strategy of new general manager Nolan Teasley, who has emphasized draft development and strategic veteran additions over high-priced free agency. Van Noy brings significant experience to the roster, having previously played for the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and Los Angeles Chargers.
