Kylee Hanel joins Visma | Lease a Bike Women as trainee

Visma | Lease a Bike Women has signed 20-year-old American rider Kylee Hanel as a trainee for the autumn season. Hanel, who has primarily gained recognition in the gravel circuit, will have the opportunity to demonstrate her skills on the road.

Hanel's recent achievements include winning the 100-mile Unbound Gravel elite women's race and becoming the American under-23 time trial champion. She is scheduled to compete for the team in two UCI Category 1 races in France: Tout commence and Finistère en Pointe du Raz.

Team manager Rutger Tijssen stated that the team looks for talent beyond traditional road racing. He noted that Hanel's impressive performances caught their attention and that the traineeship serves as a mutual opportunity to evaluate her potential for road racing.
