Kyler Gordon placed on Bears PUP list for 2026 season
The Chicago Bears have placed cornerback Kyler Gordon on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, which will cause him to miss at least the first four games of the 2026 regular season. Gordon has been dealing with a lingering calf injury that prevented him from participating in training camp and the preseason.
Alongside Gordon, the Bears announced that linebacker Noah Sewell and defensive lineman Shemar Turner will also remain on the PUP list. Other roster moves include placing Jaylon Jones, Brittain Brown, Tony Fields, and Ray-Ray McCloud on injured reserve.
The decision comes amid reported tensions between Gordon and the team's leadership. General manager Ryan Poles and head coach Ben Johnson have both expressed frustration regarding Gordon's prolonged absence and injury history. Gordon, who signed a $40 million extension prior to the 2025 season, played only three games last year due to soft-tissue injuries.
