Kyler Gordon returns to practice following Bears activation from PUP list

Chicago Bears cornerback Kyler Gordon has been activated from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list following a period of rehabilitation for a calf injury. While Gordon has returned to the practice field, the team is treating his current participation as a ‘stress test’ to evaluate his health and conditioning.

Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen noted that Gordon must ramp up to reach full football shape. The team has a 21-day window to evaluate his progress and make a final decision regarding his availability. Due to PUP rules, Gordon is expected to miss at least one game.

Gordon, a highly-paid nickel cornerback, missed 14 of 17 regular-season games last year due to various injuries. He must be activated before the October 22 game against the Patriots or face being sidelined for the remainder of the season. Coaching staff expressed optimism regarding his recent movement and practice performance.
