Kylian Mbappé denies tension with Ousmane Dembélé

Kylian Mbappé has denied reports of tension between himself and teammate Ousmane Dembélé following controversial remarks regarding their respective career paths and the Ballon d'Or competition.

The friction reportedly stemmed from Mbappé’s comments in France Football magazine, where he compared their trajectories, suggesting he was viewed as a chosen talent from an early age while Dembélé was seen primarily as a talented player who had to work harder to overcome setbacks. Dembélé responded by emphasizing his hard work and recent successes with Paris Saint-Germain.

To resolve the misunderstanding, Mbappé reached out to Dembélé directly. Marcus Thuram reportedly assisted in mediating the situation via a WhatsApp group involving the three players to ensure the disagreement did not impact the atmosphere of the French national team. Mbappé told L'Equipe, “I have already spoken to him about this and there is no tension. I don't think there is any real problem.”
