Kylian Mbappé denies tension with Ousmane Dembélé

Kylian Mbappé has denied reports of tension with teammate Ousmane Dembélé following recent comments regarding the Ballon d'Or race. The speculation arose after Mbappé described himself as the ‘chosen one’ who reached the top quickly, while noting that Dembélé has had a different path marked by injuries despite his immense talent.

In response to the perceived slight, Dembélé had previously remarked that he has always worked hard without being the ‘chosen one.’ However, Mbappé clarified in interviews with L’Equipe and France Football that he has already spoken with Dembélé and that there is no conflict between them, describing him as a friend.

Both players are among the leading candidates for the Ballon d'Or, which is scheduled to be awarded in London on October 26. The two stars are expected to reunite with the French national team for upcoming Nations League fixtures.
