Kylian Mbappé ends decade-long partnership with lawyer Delphine Verheyden
Kylian Mbappé and his family have ended their ten-year professional relationship with longtime legal advisor Delphine Verheyden. The decision to terminate the partnership was communicated in August by Ziad Hamoud, CEO of Mbappé’s holding company, and the player’s mother, Fayza Lamari.
The separation stems from a dispute regarding legal fees. Verheyden has approached the Paris Bar Association to claim unpaid compensation, alleging that the terms of her contract were not properly honored. Verheyden confirmed the end of the collaboration, noting that it had been a pleasure to work with the athlete, whom she described as an exceptional sportsman and person.
Verheyden played a critical role in Mbappé’s high-profile legal battle against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), following his 2024 transfer to Real Madrid. That dispute involved claims for unpaid wages and bonuses, which resulted in a Paris labor court ordering PSG to pay Mbappé a total of 61 million euros in December 2025.
