Kylian Mbappé rejects Michel Platini's views on player criticism

Kylian Mbappé has publicly disagreed with Michel Platini regarding the treatment of professional footballers. In a recent interview with France Football, the Real Madrid striker responded to comments made by the former French international regarding the insults and criticism players face on social media.

Platini previously suggested that players must accept such criticism as a consequence of their fame, wealth, and chosen profession. Mbappé countered this by stating that while some aspects of professional life are acceptable, others are “non-negotiable.”

As an example of what should not be tolerated, Mbappé cited racist comments directed at him by a Paraguayan senator following a World Cup match. He noted that while he received support from the Paraguayan government and French President Emmanuel Macron, he maintains that such attacks are things one simply cannot accept.
