Kylian Mbappé set to earn 100th cap for France in friendly versus Iraq

Kylian Mbappé, the 27‑year‑old French striker who debuted for Les Bleus on 25 March 2017, is poised to reach his 100th international appearance when France face Iraq in a friendly in Philadelphia. He currently sits on 99 caps and has become France’s all‑time leading scorer with 58 goals, surpassing Olivier Giroud, after scoring twice in a 3‑1 win over Senegal.

Mbappé also eclipsed Just Fontaine’s World Cup goal record for France and has featured in three World Cups, winning in 2018 and finishing runner‑up in 2022. The upcoming match against Iraq will mark another milestone in his international career as he continues to add to his tally of goals and appearances for the national team.
