Kylie Minogue to headline 2026 AFL Grand Final entertainment

Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue is set to headline the pre-game entertainment for the 2026 AFL Grand Final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Performing before the match between the Brisbane Lions and the Fremantle Dockers, Minogue is scheduled to take the stage at 1:39pm AEST.

Minogue, a Melbourne native, expressed excitement about returning to her hometown for the event. She noted that the performance feels significant after years of declining such opportunities. During preparations, she paid tribute to her late mentor, Mushroom Group founder Michael Gudinski.

The entertainment lineup includes G Flip, Mike Brady, and Michael Paynter. The event will be attended by an estimated crowd of 100,000 people. In conjunction with the performance, Specsavers has launched a marketing campaign featuring Minogue’s hit song ‘Spinning Around’ across Melbourne.
