KYMCO patents new compact three-wheeled urban scooter

KYMCO is developing a new three-wheeled scooter specifically designed for urban mobility. According to patent documents granted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration on July 7, 2026, the project was registered by Changzhou Guangyang Motorcycle Co. Ltd., KYMCO’s Chinese industrial subsidiary.

Unlike the existing CV3 575 model, this new design focuses on a more compact and practical configuration for city environments. Key features identified in the patent include a flat floor for easier mounting and additional storage space, a two-height seat design, and a more streamlined body compared to the larger CV3 575. The technical specifications indicate a single-cylinder tilting engine and a simplified front axle architecture featuring independent suspension on each front wheel using an oscillating single arm.
