Kyndryl and Microsoft launch AI tool for elderly care in UK

Kyndryl and Microsoft have developed an AI-driven tool called Vita Care Companion, designed to support elderly care through automated care planning, documentation, and scheduling. The platform, built on Microsoft Azure, features twelve modules intended to manage the entire care chain, from initial staff tasks to patient follow-up.

Key functionalities include the creation of individual care plans with checklists for home visits, matching patients with caregivers based on location and competence, and the automatic generation of care notes from audio and video recordings. The system also provides relatives with access to meeting recordings to increase transparency and automatically generates invoices and recommendations. The tool is being launched in the United Kingdom to help reduce administrative burdens and address staffing shortages in the elderly care sector.
