Kyndryl expands agentic AI through banking partnership and modernization services

Kyndryl has announced a partnership with Suryoday Small Finance Bank to implement agentic AI capabilities aimed at enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. As part of this collaboration, Kyndryl will establish an Agentic AI Center of Excellence (CoE) for the bank to identify and scale AI opportunities, modernize operations, and accelerate service delivery across digital and physical channels.

The initiative will utilize the Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework to reduce customer service response times and improve workforce productivity. Specific applications include the digitization of account-opening forms, voice-enabled mobile banking support, and the investigation of suspicious transactions. The bank also intends to use these tools to support the underwriting of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) loans.

Separately, Kyndryl has introduced Agentic Modernization services-as-software. Built on the Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework and scaled through the Kyndryl Bridge platform, these services use AI-driven workflows to automate technology modernization tasks such as code analysis, dependency mapping, and testing. The goal is to compress modernization timelines and reduce reliance on specialized skills by codifying engineering knowledge into automated workflows.
