Kynžvart girls' handball team wins silver at Prague tournament

The Kynžvart girls' handball team secured a silver medal at the Handball Cup 2026 held in Prague's Vršovice from August 28 to 30. The tournament featured eleven teams from the Czech Republic and Slovakia competing in a round-robin format.

To secure a medal, the Kynžvart team, which was bolstered by four players from Házená Chebsko, had to win their final two matches. After a series of mixed results, the team achieved a dramatic 12:11 victory over Pardubice, followed by a decisive 18:5 win against Žeravice. Coach Jiří Maršík praised the team's performance and the seamless integration of players from both clubs.
