Kyocera Document Solutions wins award for printer packaging

Kyocera Document Solutions has received a Department Award at the 2026 Japan Packaging Contest, organized by the Japan Packaging Institute. The award recognizes the company’s paper-based packaging designed for large color A3 multifunction printers.

The winning packaging design focuses on balancing ease of unboxing, resource conservation, and stable transport quality. Key features include a specialized unboxing slope made from packaging materials, a pallet that can be sorted without tools, and an integrated structure that utilizes paper-based cushioning materials for all shipments. Additionally, the side-opening design helps reduce the height required for unboxing operations.
