Kyomi ga Ichiban Shitai Koto drama set in Fukui to premiere on FOD

The FOD original drama “Kimi ga Ichiban Shitai Koto” (What You Want to Do Most) is scheduled for exclusive release on December 28 at 20:00. Starring Kyoya Honda, the human drama is set in his hometown of Fukui Prefecture and centers on a young man who finds new meaning in life through his encounters at a children's hospice called “Lighthouse.”

Cast members Riko Narumi and Yota Ushiyama have been announced for the production. Narumi will portray Keiko Hoshi, a nurse at the hospice who works earnestly to support children and their families despite her own internal conflicts. Ushiyama, who was selected from approximately 100 auditionees, plays Kenta Yanagisawa, a third-grade student who maintains a positive attitude while battling a serious illness.

The project is a collaboration between Fuji TV’s streaming service FOD and the drama label FANFARE. In a new approach to video experiences, the series will be released simultaneously in two formats: a standard horizontal version for FOD Premium and a vertical version optimized for smartphones via FOD SHORT.
