Kyoritsu Electric expands factory automation in India
Kyoritsu Electric Corporation, a Japanese firm based in Shizuoka Prefecture, is expanding its factory automation solutions with a primary focus on the Indian market. The company provides a ‘one stop solution’ encompassing measurement, control, information treatment, and machine analysis to support R&D, design, and quality management.
President Nobuyuki Nishi emphasized the company’s flexible management policy, noting that Kyoritsu allows acquired companies to retain their names following mergers and acquisitions. He also addressed the shifting landscape of the global industrial revolution, citing challenges such as semiconductor shortages and fluctuations in the construction industry.
Regarding the future of AI in robotics, Nishi noted that standard AI often struggles with detecting defective products because it typically studies datasets lacking fault cases. Kyoritsu aims to address this by utilizing physical AI trained on comprehensive datasets that include specific fault information to improve factory automation.
