Kyotango beach discovery of male body follows missing person report

A man's body was discovered at Kotohiki-hama Beach in Kyotango, Kyoto Prefecture, on August 11. The deceased, estimated to be between 20 and 40 years old, was found floating in shallow water wearing a black rash guard and black shorts. Authorities reported no obvious external injuries on the body.

This follows an earlier incident on August 9, when a 22-year-old man from Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, went missing approximately 30 meters offshore from the same beach while visiting with friends. The Maizuru Coast Guard conducted search operations following his disappearance.
