Kyoto City Board of Education dismisses teacher for voyeurism

The Kyoto City Board of Education has issued a disciplinary dismissal for a 30-year-old male high school teacher following his arrest for voyeurism. The teacher is suspected of violating laws regarding the unauthorized filming of sexual postures.

According to investigations, the individual filmed a female student's skirt on a train traveling between JR Kyoto and Yamashina stations. He was subsequently re-arrested after it was discovered he had also used a work tablet to film students at his school. The teacher reportedly expressed remorse, stating, “I cannot face my students. I am sorry.” The board emphasized its commitment to restoring trust in education and eradicating such misconduct.
