Kyoto department stores to host seasonal food exhibitions

Various food exhibitions are scheduled to take place at major department stores in Kyoto during late August and early September 2026.

JR Kyoto Isetan will host the ‘Delicious Hokkaido Autumn Exhibition’ in two phases: from August 26 to September 1, and from September 2 to September 7. The event features approximately 900 products from 52 brands, highlighting seasonal Hokkaido ingredients such as corn, melon, pumpkin, and seafood. Featured items include corn-based sweets, seafood bento boxes, and specialty ramen.

Separately, Kyoto Takashimaya will host the 46th ‘Taste Selection for Gourmet’ from September 2 to September 8. Sembikiya Sohonten will participate in this event, offering a variety of fruit-based desserts including silk apricot jelly, banana omelets, mango pudding, and fruit rolls.
