Kyoto Hatoya Saikou Hotel launches rooftop private party and art‑focused summer festival
The Hatoya Saikou hotel in Kyoto, located five minutes on foot from Kyoto Station, announced two new summer offerings for 2026. Starting July 1, the hotel’s rooftop garden will be available for a single‑group private party each day until September 30 (excluding August 15‑16). The "Summer Garden 2026" plan lasts 120 minutes, runs from 17:00 to 22:00, and costs ¥7,700 per person including food and a full‑service drink menu. Groups of at least 20 guests can book the venue, with smaller parties possible for an additional ¥20,000 venue fee. Guests also receive a discounted ¥1,000 entry to the hotel’s natural hot‑spring facilities.
From August 1 to August 15 (with a break on August 10), the hotel will host a "Five‑Senses Art Summer Festival" featuring a half‑buffet dinner of Kyoto‑sourced dishes such as sukiyaki, sushi, and flowing somen, paired with a workshop led by watercolor artist Miho Okada. The all‑inclusive price is ¥8,800 for adults and ¥3,300 for children, with free entry for children under five (materials cost ¥1,000). The package also includes access to the hotel’s hot spring for an extra ¥1,000. The event combines dining, hands‑on art activities, and exhibitions of works by local artists throughout the property.
