Kyoto hosts major art and craft events in 2026

Kyoto is set to host significant cultural events focused on contemporary art and traditional crafts in 2026. The international contemporary art fair, Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK), will take place from November 7 to November 9, 2026, at the Kyoto International Conference Center. The event will feature 63 galleries from 18 countries and regions, offering programs such as gallery collaborations, talks, and specialized exhibitions.

To support the fair, The Thousand Kyoto has announced its participation as an official Hotel Partner for the fourth consecutive time. The hotel will offer limited accommodation plans that include ACK admission tickets and will host collaborative displays and branded amenities for guests.

Additionally, the MOSS KOGEI Kyoto 2026 event will be held in Takagamine on October 17 and 18, 2026, at Shozan Resort Kyoto. The program includes six talk sessions featuring diverse experts, including actors, writers, and researchers. These sessions aim to explore the relationship between crafts, nature, history, and global markets, continuing the legacy of the Takagamine area as a historic center for artistic creation.
