Kyoto Institute of Technology announces PHP version update for virtual web servers

The Information Infrastructure Center at the Kyoto Institute of Technology has announced a scheduled PHP version upgrade for its virtual web servers to address security vulnerabilities.

The maintenance is set to take place on October 29, 2026, from 12:00 to 14:00. During this window, access to the virtual web servers will be temporarily unavailable, and users are advised to refrain from updating content during the maintenance period.

Following the update, users are requested to verify that their content functions correctly. The center noted that sites not using SSL may experience significant delays in being restored to public access, as individual unblocking cannot be performed. Further instructions regarding the resumption of external access will be provided by the Information Management Headquarters.
