Kyoto Prefecture Opens Temporary Parking Lot Near New Tourist Spot

Kyoto Prefecture’s southern city of Kōtanabe has opened a temporary parking area called the Gannambisan Parking Lot by repurposing part of a kindergarten’s parking space. The site is intended to serve visitors to a newly popular tourist attraction in the area and includes a terrace designed by architect Kengo Kuma.

The move aims to alleviate parking shortages for tourists while promoting the region’s emerging attractions.
