Kyoto Sanga and Gamba Osaka draw 2-2 in J1 match

Kyoto Sanga FC and Gamba Osaka played to a 2-2 draw in their J1 League match on October 24 at Panasonic Stadium Suita.

Gamba Osaka took an early lead in the 31st minute through a free kick by Takashi Usami, but Kyoto Sanga equalized eight minutes later. Despite Gamba Osaka playing with a numerical advantage following an opponent's goalkeeper dismissal in the second half, they conceded a late equalizer in stoppage time. Issam Jebali had scored for Gamba Osaka in the 65th minute to briefly put them ahead.

Gamba Osaka manager Tomokazu Myojin expressed frustration over the late goal, noting that while the players' performance was excellent, the team failed to secure all three points. Kyoto Sanga manager Popovic noted that while the result was a draw, the ability to equalize would serve as a foundation for future matches.
