Kyoto Sangyo University employment rankings show industry shifts

Kyoto Shimbun conducted an independent survey of employment destinations for students graduating in March 2026 from 11 major universities in the Kyoto and Shiga regions. The report focuses on Kyoto Sangyo University, analyzing the top 10 employment destinations for its 3,080 graduates (including both undergraduate and graduate students).

The findings highlight shifts in the job market, noting changes in the top rankings, the rise of housing manufacturers, and new entries into the top 10 from previously unranked sectors. The analysis is conducted amidst a continuing ‘seller’s market’ in new graduate recruitment.
