Kyoto Takashimaya to host rooftop summer festival

Kyoto Takashimaya will host a summer festival on its rooftop on August 22 and 23, 2026. The event features traditional Bon Odori dancing, including performances by the Sakuragawa Hiroko Ichimonkai group, alongside stage programs such as Yosakoi, kids' dance, and DJ events.

Attendees can enjoy various festival activities including shooting games, yo-yo fishing, and food stalls offering shaved ice, yakisoba, fried chicken, and beer. Takashimaya app members may receive free cotton candy for children, and a service will be available at the 5th-floor kimono department to assist with yukata adjustments.
