Kyoto teacher re-arrested for voyeurism at high school

A 30-year-old teacher at a municipal high school in Kyoto has been re-arrested on suspicion of voyeurism within the school premises.

The individual was previously arrested for using a smartphone to film undergarments of a 16-year-old female on a train traveling between JR Kyoto Station and Yamashina Station on August 6. During police questioning, the suspect admitted to the behavior, stating that the act of voyeurism had become a habit that he could not stop.

Following this admission, Kyoto Prefectural Police investigated further and identified a separate incident occurring on July 23, where the suspect allegedly used a tablet device to film a female from behind inside the high school.
