Kyoto’s Keidanba and Kitakyushu announce 2026 local market fairs

On April 12, 2026, the 8th Keidanba TonTon Marche will be held in the town of Keidanba, Kyoto Prefecture. The free‑entry event runs 11:00‑16:00 at the Piglet’s special venue and features food stalls, a BBQ booth, games such as a rice‑weight guessing contest, a basketball free‑throw competition, a DJ booth, performances by local artists, and sales of vegetables, processed goods and crafts.

The Kitakyushu Handmade Market will take place on September 26‑27, 2026 at the Kitakyushu Messe in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. About 1,100 booths will showcase more than 20,000 handmade items ranging from accessories and interior goods to food products. The fair offers twelve hands‑on workshops, and admission is 500 yen (400 yen advance, free for children). Both events aim to promote regional food, crafts and community interaction.
