Kyrgyzstan and Diyarbakır hold trade and investment summit
The Kyrgyz Republic Ambassador to Ankara, Ruslan Kazakbayev, met with the Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DTSO) to discuss trade and investment opportunities. During the meeting, Ambassador Kazakbayev invited the Diyarbakır business community to invest in Kyrgyzstan.
DTSO President Mehmet Kaya highlighted Diyarbakır’s strategic position as a regional trade hub with strong production capabilities in sectors such as textiles, machinery, agriculture, and construction. Kaya noted that the city serves as a center for surrounding provinces and maintains cooperation agreements with chambers in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Duhok. He also expressed expectations for increased economic relations with Syria following the opening of the Nusaybin Border Gate.
The meeting, attended by various local firms and businesspeople with operations in Kyrgyzstan, focused on exploring new collaborations, mutual investment possibilities, and regional logistics opportunities.
