Kyriakos Mitsotakis addresses Samaras, Karamanlis, and Kasidiaris
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has addressed several political figures and contemporary issues. Regarding former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, Mitsotakis stated that if Samaras decides to form a new political party, he will be questioned again. Mitsotakis also expressed respect for Kostas Karamanlis, noting their good relationship and acknowledging Karamanlis's decision to distance himself from active politics.
Addressing the presence of Ilias Kasidiaris, the Prime Minister asserted that the current legal framework is sufficient and refused to engage in dialogue with him, characterizing such voices as extreme. Mitsotakis also commented on constitutional revision, criticizing the opposition leaders of PASOK and SYRIZA.
Separately, political commentator Giorgos Karatzafereis has leveled harsh criticisms against Antonis Samaras, labeling him a ‘traitor’ and a ‘violator’ in relation to historical political shifts in 1993 and 1995. The commentary disputes Samaras's role in the long-term political standing of the New Democracy party, framing the accusations as personal interpretations of history rather than objective political critique.
