Kyriakos Mitsotakis outlines Greece's economic roadmap to 2030

During a Cabinet meeting, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis presented an economic roadmap toward 2030, highlighting the upcoming completion of the Recovery and Resilience Facility on August 31. He noted that the 36 billion euro funding package has contributed to Greek GDP growth exceeding the European average, supported investments in green energy, digitalized public services, and infrastructure projects such as the Thessaloniki Metro.

Addressing foreign policy, Mitsotakis stated that reactions from Turkey regarding spatial planning for renewable energy and tourism do not affect Greek planning. He emphasized that Greek sovereign areas are based on international law and that the country is prepared to defend them. While expressing a desire for good neighborly relations, he clarified that the primary issues for discussion with Turkey remain the delimitation of the continental shelf and the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean.
