Kyriakos Pierrakakis discusses Greek economic growth and market developments

Greek Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis highlighted Greece's economic transition from crisis management to growth during a visit to Dublin. Speaking at a Fine Gael Small Business and Enterprise Conference alongside Irish Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Simon Harris, Pierrakakis noted the shared historical experiences of Greece and Ireland regarding the Eurozone crisis.

Pierrakakis addressed the challenges posed by the energy crisis and the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence, emphasizing the need to support citizens and businesses while maintaining macroeconomic stability. He noted that fiscal policies must balance providing relief to those in need with avoiding macroeconomic destabilization.

Additionally, Pierrakakis commented on the Athens Stock Exchange officially returning to developed markets after 13 years, following its integration into Euronext. He stated that this milestone expands the country's investment base, enhances its ability to attract international capital, and provides more financing options for businesses, thereby raising the bar for future economic progress.
