Kyriakos Pierrakakis reports economic progress in Greece
Greek Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis presented an overview of the country's economic progress in Thessaloniki. He highlighted significant growth in tax revenues, which reached 33.37 billion euros between January 1 and August 31, with approximately 29 billion euros processed through banks.
Pierrakakis emphasized the rapid digitalization of the economy, noting that myDATA transaction records increased from 290 million in 2021 to a projected 2.2 billion by 2026. He also announced the upcoming 'Synepeia' platform, designed to manage the state's overdue debts. The Minister suggested that improved economic indicators are creating space for further government measures, including potential tax reductions and increased resources for health and education.
In a related political gathering in Thessaloniki, Pierrakakis met with over 40 New Democracy Members of Parliament to discuss economic forecasts and upcoming government announcements.
