Kyrylo Budanov claims Russia shows no intent to end war

Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated during the Riga Conference that there is no evidence Russia intends to end the war. He noted that while Ukraine seeks to end the conflict, Russia continues to issue ultimatum-style demands that it knows will not be accepted.

Budanov characterized these demands as manipulation intended to prolong the war rather than facilitate peace. He emphasized that despite calls from the Ukrainian presidency for meetings to conclude the conflict, the Russian side has not taken any actions indicating a genuine intention to reach a settlement.
