Kyrylo Tsarenko returns to cycling after one-year doping ban

Ukrainian professional cyclist Kyrylo Tsarenko has returned to racing after serving a one-year doping suspension. The 25-year-old rider, who competes for the Italian team Solution Tech - NIPPO - Rali, was sanctioned for whereabouts failures, having failed to correctly submit his location information three times within a twelve-month period.

The ban was applied retroactively, covering the period from December 3, 2025, through June 30, 2026. As a consequence of the ruling, all of Tsarenko’s competitive results achieved since July 1, 2025, have been disqualified. This includes his overall victory at the Tour de Kyushu and a stage win at the same event.

Tsarenko did not appeal the decision and resumed competition in early July at the Sibiu Tour. Since his return, he has secured several high-level results, including wins at the Tour of Kahramanmaras and the Ordu Coast to Summit in Turkiye.
