Kysuce region receives millions for cycling paths and school modernization

The Slovak Ministry of Environment has announced significant investments for the Kysuce region, focusing on infrastructure and energy efficiency. A total of 2.7 million euros from the Environmental Fund will be used to construct an 8.5-kilometer cycling path in Čadca. This project aims to connect Čadca with Krásno nad Kysucou and the Bystrica cycling highway, promoting tourism and reducing motor vehicle traffic.

Additionally, approximately 2.67 million euros from the Modernization Fund will be allocated to modernize schools and cultural buildings in the Čadca district. These funds are intended to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings, including the Podzávoz nursery school in Čadca, a nursery school in Korňa, and a cultural house in Vysoká nad Kysucou. Minister Tomáš Taraba stated that these investments will improve the quality of life for residents and create new financial resources for the region through tourism development.
