KytyPS5 Emulator Runs First PS5 Games on Windows PC

The KytyPS5 project, a PlayStation 5 emulator for Windows, is being developed by programmer Nmzik and builds on a heavily modified version of the original Kyty emulator created by InoriRus. The software aims for greater game‑start compatibility and runs without external low‑level emulation modules, prioritising NVIDIA graphics cards but supporting other GPUs.

Recent updates allow the emulator to execute two full 3D titles—XIII and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants—at roughly 20‑30 frames per second. Gameplay is possible, though graphics exhibit texture glitches, lighting errors, and occasional crashes. The emulator remains experimental, with ongoing development focused on stability and broader game support.
